Dr Grant N Ross is a General Practitioner with an interest in all areas of practice including health checks, physical examinations, skin and mole checks, STDs, hair loss, weight management, sexual problems, counselling and support.
Dr Ross advocates a strong and ongoing patient-doctor relationship as the foundation of healthcare. He believes that being able to trust your doctor and communicate with them freely is essential when facing life's uncertainties and navigating your own health.
He performs minor procedures, including: removing skin lesions; ingrown toenail removal; skin tag removal; red spot removal; cryotherapy for warts; contraceptive implants; and syringing for ear wax.
Dr Ross received his medical degree from the University of Melbourne in 2011 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice in 2016.
He completed his medical training at The University of Melbourne and associated hospitals including the Royal Melbourne Hospital & The Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia and also Oslo University Hospital, in Norway.
Dr Ross was a Visiting Research Fellow at Keio University in Japan, where he studied a novel means of quantifying the stress on the hip joint during golf.
He came to Hong Kong in 2018 and, after completing the required internship and examination, was awarded the Licentiate of the Medical Council of Hong Kong.
Dr Ross is Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor in Family Medicine at The University of Hong Kong, and a volunteer Medical Officer with the St John Ambulance.
Having served as a Medical Officer in the Royal Australian Navy, he remains in the Reserve with the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
Dr Ross joined Marina Medical in 2020.
