Dr Wong Sze Man is a general practitioner with a special interest in children’s and women’s health.

As a Chinese who grew up in the capital city of Brussels, Dr Wong Sze Man spent her childhood immersed in Belgian and Chinese cultures. Thanks to her double background, she has developed the ability to adapt to different cultural and professional environments while building a solid knowledge of French, Dutch, English and Cantonese. She heartily believes that medicine is based not only on knowledge and theory but also relied on trust and good communication between a patient and his physician. Native in French, she strongly believes that patients should be treated as a whole with a holistic approach while using the language they are comfortable with. Besides putting the patient at the centre of care, prevention is a subject she particularly keeps at heart.

Dr Wong received her medical degree from the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium. She interned in different hospitals in Brussels, followed by training in Family Medicine in several private clinics in Belgium. On top of her Belgian experience, she grabbed the opportunity to work in the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom, which gave her an invaluable experience in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine.

She passed the arduous Licensing Examination of the Medical Council of Hong Kong and returned to Hong Kong in 2014.  After completing another internship in Hong Kong, she worked as a general practitioner at the department of Family Medicine of United Christian Hospital. She later obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Practical Dermatology from the Queen Mary University of London. Thereafter she has been referenced at the notoriety list of French-speaking doctors of the Consulate of France of Hong Kong and Macau.
 
Besides her job, she was a dedicated badminton player during her youth, and now she enjoys practising taekwondo.

Le Dr Wong Sze Man est médecin généraliste avec un intérêt porté vers les maladies chroniques, la pédiatrie et la gynécologie.

Née à Hong Kong, le Dr Wong a grandi depuis sa plus tendre enfance à Bruxelles. Plongée dans la double culture belge et chinoise, elle s’est adaptée à divers environnements professionnels et multilinguistiques. Ainsi, elle accorde beaucoup d’importance au traitement du patient dans sa globalité dans une approche empathique.  En plus des connaissances scientifiques, sa pratique se base sur le principe de confiance entre le médecin et le patient. “Mieux vaut prévenir que guérir” telle est la devise qu’elle tient particulièrement à cœur. En effet, la prévention occupe une place centrale dans sa pratique quotidienne.   

Diplômée de la Faculté de médecine de l’Université catholique de Louvain, elle entreprit son année de stages hospitaliers dans plusieurs hôpitaux bruxellois dont les Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc. Elle poursuit ses stages au sein de plusieurs cabinets privés de généraliste où elle s’initia de manière pratique à l’exercice de la médecine générale en Belgique. De la prise en charge au cabinet médical ainsi qu’aux visites à domicile, elle acquit les compétences essentielles pour sa pratique telle qu’enseignée en Belgique. Ayant le goût du voyage, elle saisit l’opportunité d’exercer la médecine en République d’Irlande et au Royaume-Uni où elle acquit une expérience considérable en médecine d’urgence et en médecine interne. C’est en 2014 qu’elle décida de venir s’installer à Hong Kong.

Après avoir réussi l’examen d’équivalence de médecine à Hong Kong, le docteur Wong se forma à la médecine générale à Hong Kong au sein du département de “Family Medicine” à l’United Christian Hospital.  Par ailleurs, elle est porteuse du diplôme de dermatologie pratique délivré par la Queen Mary University of London. Elle est actuellement référencée sur la liste de notoriété de médecins du Consulat de France à Hong Kong et Macau. 
 
En dehors de son travail de médecin, elle s'est récemment mise au défi d’apprendre le taekwondo.
