Detox diets are generally short-term dietary interventions designed to eliminate toxins from your body. A typical detox diet involves a period of fasting, followed by a strict diet of fruit, vegetables, fruit juices, and water. Sometimes detox also includes herbs, teas, supplements etc. Some of the detox diets claim to stimulate the liver to get rid of toxins, rest the organs, improve circulation or help with various health problems, including digestive issues, autoimmune diseases, inflammation and allergies etc. Yet there is no sound medical report to support such claims. Actually, most of the time, the body can remove them without additional help. Recommend a balanced diet, adequate amount of exercise and rest to keep your body healthy.
