COVID-19 Vaccination is now available

Covid-19 vaccination is available at the Central clinic

What kind of vaccination is available?

Currently Marina Medical only provides Sinovac vaccination.  If you wish to receive BioNTech vaccination, please visit the government website for online booking.

When can I receive the vaccination?

Marina Medical starts to accept booking right now and vaccination will start to administer on March 3rd.

Where can I receive the vaccination?

You may visit us at our Central clinic, which is located in Room 2005, New World Tower 1, 16-18 Queen's Road Central, for vaccination.

Am I eligible to take the vaccination?

If you fall under the following groups then you are eligible 

    1. Age 30 or above (a maximum of two carers who accompany elderly people aged 70 or above can also receive vaccination)
      • Age 16 to 29 years can make vaccination booking at the thematic website or designated private clinics starting 9am on 23 April (Friday).
    2. Personnel in healthcare settings and those participating in anti-epidemic related work;
    3. Residents and staff of residential care homes for the elderly/persons with disabilities
    4. Personnel maintaining critical public services;
    5. Personnel providing cross-boundary transportation or working at control points and ports
    6. Staffers from eateries, supermarkets, markets, convenience stores, and those working food delivery
    7. Transport workers in public transport such as taxi drivers, mini-bus drivers, etc
    8. Construction registered workers
    9. Property management staff, such as security, cleaners and management staff
    10. School staffs including kindergarten/primary school/high school teachers and supporting staffs, special education teachers, school bus drivers, nanny and etc
    11. Staffers from the travel industry
    12. Staffers working at gym centres and the beauty industry (listed on Cap. 599F)
    13. students studied abroad (age 16 and above)
    14. domestic helper

Individuals who fall under the seven new priority groups (group 6-12) will be able to register for a vaccination slot at community centres and clinics across the city from 9am on Mar 9th  on the government’s website or can get vaccinated at the private clinic.

What do I need to bring when I come to the clinic?

When you arrived at the clinic, please present the document of proof that indicated that you belong to the above listed eligible group.

  1. ID and
  2. Staff card or Company letter proving you belong to the eligible group (sample template attached)

 

 

Covid-19 vaccination registration begins for public

As you may know, the Hong Kong Government is implementing a territory-wide COVID-19 Vaccination Programme for all Hong Kong residents. There is a lot of information from different sources and it is difficult for us to catch up with the latest information about the vaccines. We are writing to give you more information about Covid-19 vaccines.

Which groups are eligible to take the jab right now?
The Government decided to arrange priority vaccination for the groups below:

  1. Persons aged 60 years or above;
  2. Carers who accompany elderly people aged 70 or above can also receive vaccination;
  3. Personnel in healthcare settings and those participating in anti-epidemic related work;
  4. Residents and staff of residential care homes for the elderly / persons with disabilities;
  5. Personnel maintaining critical public services; and
  6. Personnel performing cross-boundary related work.

Note: The Government will, having regard to the actual situation, consider covering people aged between 16 and 59 with chronic diseases, to be followed by other members of the public under 60.

What vaccines are available?
The 2 vaccines available in Hong Kong are:

1. Inactivated virus technology platform - CoronaVac by Sinovac Biotech (Hong Kong) Limited

When are the vaccines available?
For CoronaVac by Sinovac Biotech (Hong Kong) Limited 
If you want to choose CoronaVac by Sinovac Biotech (Hong Kong) Limited, you can do online booking starting NOW with injection starting from 26 Feb 2021 in vaccination centres. If you want to have the injection in private clinics, then you need to wait till early March 2021.

For Comirnaty by Fosun Pharma - German drug manufacturer BioNTech
If you want to choose Comirnaty by Fosun Pharma in collaboration with the German drug manufacturer BioNTech, this can be done in vaccination centres ONLY and further details will be announced later by the government.
